Ted Horzella, our friend and colleague, passed away on Saturday following heart surgery. He will be missed by his friends and family, and all who knew him. Services are private.

Ted held a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from the University of Santa Maria in Chile, as well as a Master of Science in Chemistry from Iowa State University. His 50 plus year professional career included FMC and Joy Manufacturing before he joined IMS in 1974. Ted was proficient in a number of languages and handled a lot of international work, primarily in South America. He was our technical consultant for our military applications, as well as an expert in material handing and chemical applications. Ted spent many years in fabric filter, scrubber, and heat exchanger sales.

Ted retired a few years ago to teach at a local college and work as a volunteer with South American students to help them acclimate to the Los Angeles area. He was an avid traveler and since retirement has visited Vietnam, Alaska, Russia and many other countries.
