PoxiFil Underdrain System

PoxiFil is an inert, non-porus underdrain system used to support filter or ion exchange media in a vessel. Poxifil is cast on-site to produce a flat-bottom underdrain for make-up or condensate polishing applications. Poxifil is an aggregate of sand, gravel and a proprietary epoxy material, a stainless steel or plastic header-lateral system encased in epoxy, with stainless steel well screen stainers installed above the PoxiFil material. A flat or slightly sloped surface is created to fill voids and enhance resin transfer.

A Poxifil Underdrain System:

  • Provides extended service life
  • Provides longer runs between regeneration or maintenance cycles
  • Provides increased ion-exchange resin or media filter capacity
  • Gives more efficient resin or filter media utilization
  • Increases your vessel's performance
